Heatcraft Refrigeration Asia, with headquarter in Shanghai China and sales offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Jakarta, and Singapore, started its China operation in 1998 by introducing the advanced technology and products from USA, Europe and Australia. In 2000, we set up our Wuxi factory and began to localize products to serve Asia market. In the past 9 years, Heatcraft ¨CAsia has been serving our customers as a total solution provider in refrigeration industry with the high-quality commercial refrigeration systems known for energy efficiency. We also contribute to the development of refrigeration industry in China by sponsoring the Xia Anshi Education Foundation-Heatcraft Award, known as the most prestigious fund for the refrigeration faculty for 9 consecutive years.

Heatcraft is one of the leaders of technology and innovation in refrigeration industry in Asia, especially in energy saving solutions. We developed Multi-suction compressor rack for medium and small supermarkets and the cold storage applications which require compact design and cost effective solutions. In this application, a typical supermarket can reduce power consumption by 15%. Multi-suction rack ensures the actual required evaporate temperature of various evaporators, for example, a low temperature freezer(-38¡æ), Cold Room Freezer (-28¡æ), and Ice Maker (-24¡æ), instead of offering the lowest evaporate temperature to all the evaporators, at -38¡æ the traditional way. This also increases the efficiency of compressors by increasing the evaporate temperature of some compressors and the efficiency of the whole system as well. Multi-suction racks have been already successfully applied in many of supermarkets in China, such as Wal-Mart, Beijing Shengxing Supermarket, Dashary, Jingzhongjiale, and others.

In order to reduce the energy consumption on defrost system, which consumes up to 40% daily power consumption by installing typical unit cooler heaters, Heatcraft developed the 'Smart DefrostTM' system. Patented control algorithms use time and frost load to initiate defrost when it is actually required, which results in a 30-40% reduction in the number of defrosts. Thus the energy cost is lowered by eliminating unnecessary defrost cycles together with the improvements on product integrity by reducing the number of cold room temperature fluctuations.

Another state of the art technology is Hot Gas Defrost. In this application, instead of using electric heaters to defrost, the evaporators are stagger-- defrosted by heat from both running compressor as well as other evaporators which are still running. Thus the evaporators can not only reduce 40% daily power consumption but also minimize temperature fluctuations by fast defrost.
